Spacing between modular units, lighting, and color relationships became a focus for a new series. Initial compositions dealt with generalities such as time of day, seasons, or peoples. Some sets began to appear almost musical. New bar-shaped forms, developed from ideas in an earlier painting, elicited seeming visual resonances with each other and were given titles that reflected a sense of musicality. All paintings are in oil on structured canvas.
