Small solo forms were painted, as well as in combination, to make moderate sized works. In July of 2001, for quite personal reasons, a series of "flag" paintings was commenced, exploring dynamics of moving stripes and star shapes. After the horrific event of 9/11 the earlier idea for the series (to others) would appear as derivative, so I did not pursue it. Only a few paintings were preserved.
